Privacy Policy
Effective: September 25, 2026
This policy explains how the Dotday app for Android ("Dotday", "the app", "we") handles information.
It applies to the app published on Google Play under the package name uz.habitly.tracker.
1. Data that stays on your device
Everything you enter — habit names, schedules, reminders, check-ins, notes, moods and settings — is stored in the app's private storage on your device. It is not sent to us or to anyone else.
- Backups you export. When you export a JSON or CSV file, you choose where it is saved using the Android file picker. Where that file goes is up to you.
- Android system backup. If Android backup is enabled on your device, Android may include the app's data in your Google account backup so it can be restored on a new phone. This is controlled by your device and Google account settings, and is end-to-end encrypted by Android where supported.
- Reminders and notifications are scheduled locally on your device.
2. Health Connect
If you choose to link a habit to Health Connect (a Pro feature), Dotday asks for permission to read only the data types you enable: steps, sleep and/or exercise sessions. Dotday never writes to Health Connect.
- Health data is read on your device, only to mark the linked habit as done (for example, "10,000 steps").
- Health data is never sent to us, to Firebase, or to any third party, and is never used for advertising.
- You can revoke access at any time in Health Connect settings.
Dotday's use of information received from Health Connect adheres to the Health Connect Permissions policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
3. Anonymous usage statistics and crash reports
To understand which features are useful and to fix crashes, the app uses the following Google Firebase services. You can turn them off at any time in Settings → Share anonymous usage data.
| Service | What is collected | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Firebase Analytics | App interactions such as "onboarding step completed", "habit created" or "paywall viewed" (never habit names or notes), app version, device model, OS version, language, approximate country, and a random app-instance ID. | Improve the app; measure which features help people keep habits |
| Firebase Crashlytics | Crash and error reports: stack traces, device model, OS version, app state at the time of the crash, and a random installation ID. | Find and fix bugs |
| Firebase Remote Config | A random installation ID used to download app configuration. | Adjust app settings (for example, which subscription plan is pre-selected) without an app update |
We do not collect the Android Advertising ID, and Google Analytics advertising features are disabled. This data is not linked to your name, email or any account. Analytics data is retained for up to 14 months and crash reports for up to 90 days. See Firebase privacy information.
4. Purchases
Dotday Pro subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed by Google Play. We never see your payment details. The app receives only the purchase status from Google Play to unlock Pro features, and stores that status on your device. Google's handling of your payment data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
5. What we don't do
- No ads and no advertising SDKs.
- No selling or sharing of personal data.
- No accounts, no email collection, no location tracking, no contacts access.
6. Children
Dotday is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
7. Your choices and rights
- Turn off analytics and crash reports in Settings.
- Delete your data by deleting habits in the app, clearing the app's storage, or uninstalling the app. Because we have no accounts or servers, we hold no copy of your habit data.
- Depending on where you live (for example, the EU/EEA, UK or California), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data and to object to processing. Anonymous analytics data cannot usually be linked back to you; if you have a request, contact us and we will help.
8. Security
Your data is protected by Android's app sandbox. Data sent to Firebase is encrypted in transit (HTTPS).
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
